Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Lindo Learns ("we", "us") provides personalised phonics storybooks for children, generated with AI and matched to a child's reading level. These terms govern your use of the service at https://lindophonics.com.

2. Accounts

You must be 18 or over to create an account. Accounts are for use by a parent, guardian or educator on behalf of a child — children may not create accounts themselves. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

3. Subscriptions and payment

Payments are processed by Paddle, who act as the merchant of record and handle billing and applicable taxes. By subscribing you also accept Paddle's own terms.

• Monthly — £5.99 per month, renewing automatically each month.
• Yearly — £59.88 per year (equivalent to £4.99 per month), renewing automatically each year.
• Lifetime — a one-off payment of £49 for access for as long as the service operates.

Recurring plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through the billing portal linked from your account page or from your Paddle receipt; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Prices may be shown in your local currency at checkout.

4. Fair use

Each generated book costs us money in AI processing, so all plans — including Lifetime — are subject to fair use of 30 new books per month and 20 per day. Reading books you have already made is unlimited and always free. We may contact you before applying limits to genuinely unusual usage.

5. "Lifetime" access

"Lifetime" means for as long as we continue to operate the service. We intend to run it indefinitely, but if we ever have to close it down we will give reasonable notice and let you export your books.

6. Your content and ours

You keep the rights to the details you provide (such as your child's first name and chosen setting). The stories and illustrations generated for you are yours to use for personal, non-commercial family or classroom use. You may not resell them or use them to train other AI models.

You agree not to enter content that is unlawful, hateful, or that infringes anyone's rights, and not to attempt to make the service generate material unsuitable for children.

7. AI-generated content

Stories and pictures are produced by AI and are not reviewed by a person before you see them. While we work hard to keep output age-appropriate and phonically accurate, we cannot guarantee it is always perfect. Please review a book before sharing it with your child, and use the feedback button to report anything that isn't right.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the service running reliably but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of significant changes that affect paying customers.

9. Ending your account

You can stop using the service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that breach these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.

10. Liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
